Just made what is most likely the final cuts to this plate for a new print The Green Knight. It will be a two color print, green of course , but for now, a satisfying image. Now off to tend to the beasties.

Absolutely great, I love the composition with the foliage elements but he just looks so very much alive, rather than just an archetype – very powerful !
Thank you Phil, that means a lot because you are so well acquainted with the archetype. Like my interest in mesoamerican narrative , my interest in Northern European and British mythology-folktales is stumbled upon , not culturally ingrained . Sometimes I feel like such an outside peering in, but that is the truth. And boy , it’s wondrous .
