Why aren’t the “Beasties” ever seen as subjects in your paintings?
I fear I wouldn’t do them justice , plus on a superstitious level, I once painted a portrait of my pug Daisy ( who I loved very much and miss still) and shortly after , she died suddenly and violently . I know I may be being absurd , but I hesitate – in a primal way I believe in magical thinking .
I have however have made images of my pets for personal work.
That said , perhaps in the future they may appear , who knows.
Fascinating painting, and sexy! Great tension between the two figures.
